Rutgers Fires Basketball Coach After Tapes Reveal Verbal and Physical Abuse, Ivy League Acceptance Rates Hit Record-Lows

  • High school senior Suzy Lee Weiss made headlines this week with her op-ed piece published in the Wall Street Journal titled, “To (All) the Colleges That Rejected Me” about how college applicants do not gain admissions for “being themselves.”

  • Rutgers University fired their basketball coach, Mike Rice, after tapes revealing Rice being physically and verbally abusive towards players were released.

  • Ivy League acceptance rates continue to decline, with Harvard hitting a record-low of 5.8%

  • Princeton University alumna, Susan Patton, caused controversy when she wrote an article for The Daily Princetonian urging the school’s female population to find husbands on campus before they graduate.
