Some Schools report Record Low Admit Rates, Others Hold Steady
The results are in, and the 2013-14 admissions season was another one filled with highs and lows.
The numbers this year seemed to level, after seeing giant increases in applications and historically low admissions rates last year. This season, there was a mix, with only modest gains in the number of applications at many schools, and only some reporting record low admit rates, while others increased.
After issues with the Common Application pushed back early application dates and led to headaches for parents and students, problems seemed to iron out by many regular application deadlines.
Here are admission rates for some of the country’s top universities for the Class of 2018. We will continue to update this list as more information becomes available.
