Here's When the College Class of 2020 Will Learn Their Admissions Decisions

It’s March and there’s finally a light at the end of the admissions tunnel for anxious high school seniors – colleges will soon start releasing their regular admissions decisions!
For those who applied early decision or early action this year the competition was stiff, with some colleges reporting slight dips in early admissions rates from the year before.
The admissions season was relatively smooth this year, however, there are a lot of changes on the horizon for students applying to the class of 2021, with the revised SAT, the announcement of the Coalition Application, and a Harvard report that aimed to alleviate some college admissions stress.
Boston College was one of the first schools this spring to announce their regular decision notification date – the week of March 14. While this is nearly two weeks earlier than the typical late-March or April 1 date most selective colleges choose, it’s not unusual for colleges to release decisions earlier in the month.
As ususal, MIT had the most creative announcement this year, with special guest BB-8!
Most colleges aim to have decisions ready by March 31 or April 1, but many choose to release decisions once they’re ready, which tends to be a week or two before the standard decision release date.
Here are regular application decision notification dates for the Class of 2020. Many of these dates are general, so expect these dates to change as we draw closer to mid-March. Be sure to check back regularly for updated date and times – especially for those labeled “TBD” or those with a general timeframe (mid/late March, early April, March 31, or April 1).
